Operation Fire was working on getting individuals who would not be able to utilize the staircases during a fire emergency out of the second floor of Grant's House. Initially, the brainstorming was surrounding the stairs. Due to ADA and ICC requirements, nothing could be done due to the construction of the stairs. Fire turned to the idea of evacuation lifts. After prototyping, the project was eventually ended due to not meeting the needs of Grant's House.
